Deerhunter

I was at a party a couple weeks ago with my ipod handy blasting Deerhunter for some friends. Some random dude came over complaining about the music saying we needed some fucking hardcore or whatever he was into. He continued on about how Deerhunter blew, saying they wouldn't make it anywhere (hah). I then asked him to name just one song, hum a chorus, a riff... obviously he could not. stutter, stutter... laff. It's guys like this you just want to smack the fuck out... give it a week, his facebook status will be either a deerhunter lyric or something that relates to the band.

but anyways, i just cant get enough of Deerhunter. Microcastle, for me is the album that never dies, you can listen to it over and over and over and it still manages to surprise. If you haven't heard it, please take time to give it a shot. They've released 5 CD's from first to last (turn it up faggot, cryptograms, fluorescent grey EP, Microcastle & Weird Era Continued) i'll be posting both Microcastle & Weird Era Continued (the two LP's they released in 2008) later on this afternoon.

With that said.. The first video posted was recorded in the studio, during the recording of microcastle. It really makes you appreciate it a lot more.
